Whether you’re in Leeds, York, Harrogate, Bradford or Wakefield I'm here for you!

Moving into Postpartum
Do you feel like you just can’t get a minute to yourself?! You’re either nap trapped or multitasking. It would just be nice to sit on the loo or have a shower without worrying about your baby who you put down in the moses basket (which they hate) for all of one minute. And when you do finally get that shower, you swear you can hear them crying… so you rush out, dripping wet, only to find them quiet as a mouse. What madness is this?!
Maybe you haven’t had your baby yet but you are booked in for a C-section and you are wanting to plan some aftercare and rightly so, better to sort now and have peace of mind instead of waiting until last minute.com and then never actually bothering and regretting it later.
You have seen on insta mums chilling in the their postpartum and leaving the chores (their house is tidy AF tho), sounds idyllic, who the heck is going to do it if you don’t?! Insta Vs Reality.
What it looks like…
Some of the things I can help with as a Postpartum doula:
-
Breastfeeding support and newborn care
-
Caring for siblings
-
Caring for you… emotional support and a listening ear
-
Prepare food/household chores
-
Signposting to trusted places i.e. Breastfeeding support, Osteopaths, Physiotherapists
Imagine being able to outsource all of the above so there is no guilt when you are sat there napped trapped - you’re not thinking oh I should be doing the washing or hoovering the kitchen. Just soaking up the sweet smell of your baby’s head, snuggled up, watching Made in Chelsea (or insert trash TV choice here). You can go and get that ten mins of fresh air with a walk around the block, so you can calm and reset your nervous system. All these moves make you a better mother to your baby now and in the future. The mother sets the tone for the whole household. When you invest in your own rest and recovery, the benefits ripple through your family.
